When selected, you cannot clear this check box; you can have only one default event domain at any time. To change your default event domain, navigate to the event domain you want to set as the default, and select its Default check box.

Name

Brief description of the event domain.

Script Package

Identifies the package of business scripts that should be run in response to a particular event.

If you are on a multiple-company deployment, do one of the following:

  • To use a company-specific script package for this event domain, select the Use <Company Name> Script Package radio button, and then select the script package you want to use from the drop-down list.
  • To use the script package from the system's template scripts, select the Use Template Script Package radio button, and then select the template script package you want to use from the drop-down list.

When you create a new company, xMatters automatically creates the default event domains, and assigns the appropriate template script package to each new domain. Before you can assign a custom script to an event domain, you must create a company-specific set of scripts using the event domain export feature, as described in Export and import event domain information, and then import the created package back into your company. You can then modify the scripts using the xMatters Developer IDE, and specify the scripts you want to use in the Use Template Script Package field.

For more information about script packages, consult the xMatters Online Developer's Guide.

The predicate order on the Event Domain Details page affects the order in which predicates flagged as “Important” are listed in the Event Activity Report, as explained in Define predicates.
